Cromwell Anson (C. Anson) Jones (1850-1888) was a lawyer, land speculator, and judge. The son of Anson Jones (1798-1858), president of the Republic of Texas, and his wife Mary McCrory, née Smith (1819-1907), he was one of four children, including Charles Elliot, Samuel Edward, and Sarah Sophia (Sallie) Jones.
